The atheism of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a domineering, authoritarian force that is both faithless and rogue. More than 90 million CCP members are not allowed to join any organized religion and are barred from practicing any personal religion while in office. The CCP is devout to power and void of a spiritual or moral foundation. Any attempt to seek out God, forgiveness, and/or salvation is swiftly punished as party members are accused of “feudal superstitious” activity.
Today, China recognizes only five organized religions, including Buddhists, Taoists, Catholics, Protestants, and Islamists; however, none of the spiritual adherents are allowed to worship freely or have significant influence in their communities. Instead, the CCP imposes strict rules over the religions, dictating religious operations, while infiltrating church leadership to control their direction and influence.
This same kind of thought control exists with Big Tech in America and around the world. Amazon bans books on Christian teachings and Biblical principles. Facebook bans high profile Christians who speak out about their faith and their moral principles. Cancelling Christians and labeling their beliefs “hate speech” is a prelude to communism.
According to the Economist, there are at least 100 million Christians now in China, outnumbering the 90 million atheist members of the CCP. As the teachings of Jesus Christ expand in Asia, the people of China face persecution if they openly express their Christian beliefs. The salvation of Jesus Christ and the conviction of the Holy Spirit are a vital part of Christian moral principle and personal growth, but these tenets are viewed as “religious extremism” in China. These Christian teachings are also being deemed “hate speech” online, as Big Tech accelerates persecution of Christianity in America and abroad.
Since 2013, the CCP has been on an anti-Christian crusade, removing crosses from upwards of 1,200 Christian churches. China routinely trashes religious texts and jails people of faith. Many Christians are forced to go underground in order to worship God freely and minister to their communities. State agents monitor religious activity and will conduct raids on home gatherings to seize and destroy religious texts and communications.
Christians, Tibetan Buddhists, Uyghur Muslims and Falun Gong practitioners live under constant threat from the Chinese government. If they are caught reading, printing or distributing religious material, they could be forcibly jailed, abused or punished with harsh labor. Falun Gong practitioners have also been labeled “state enemies” for many years. Facing torture, harassment and detention, Falun Gong practitioners must teach their moral principles of compassion, truthfulness and forbearance in secrecy.
Likewise, the Uyghur and Kazakh ethnic groups are profiled and taken to “political training centers” or “reformation centers” where they are often separated from family members and imprisoned for spreading extremist religious beliefs. Around the world, governments are clamping down on religious gatherings, as ministers are threatened to comply with faithless, authoritarian public health measures. Facebook eliminates any faith-driven content that promotes freedom and health, insisting that all users acquiesce to authoritarian demands.
In October 2019, a state library in China’s Gansu Province caused an uproar when they set up a public book burning ceremony. CCP officials tossed so-called “tendentious” religious publications, Christian media, and other spiritual content into the flames. Amazon also “burns” Christian media, suppressing moral principles taught by Christian authors. For instance, Amazon banned a Christian title called “A Parent’s Guide to Preventing Homosexuality.” This book teaches families how to guide their children toward healthy relationships, establishing respectful boundaries and only engaging in heterosexual marriage. Apparently, no one is allowed to question the LGBTQ agenda. All moral principles are to be quashed as the LGBTQ agenda preys on children, mutilates their biology and convinces them to deviate from biological reality and the natural progression of heterosexual reproduction.
In Taizhou City in the eastern Zhejiang Province, CCP officials arrested Chen Yu, the owner of an online Christian bookstore. Chen Yu was sentenced to seven years in prison in October 2020 for selling unapproved religious books imported from Christian nations. Similarly, Facebook was caught censoring Christian evangelist Franklin Graham for a post he made opposing North Carolina’s House Bill 2, which allowed transgendered men to enter women’s restrooms, and vice versa. Just as “reformation centers” in China use propaganda to strip groups of their beliefs and heritage, Facebook uses censorship and algorithmic controls to dictate the information people can access in order to slowly change their beliefs and ideas. These are just two examples where Big Tech acts like the CCP, suppressing Christian influence in the culture to impose an all-powerful, atheistic and authoritarian agenda.
