The “new-and-improved” Twitter social media platform, now run by electric vehicle (EV) billionaire Elon Musk, has canceled streaming for the Daily Wire film “What is a Woman?” due to its “misgendering” content.
Despite Musk’s promises to restore free speech to Twitter, it is just business as usual at the Silicon Valley giant, which simply will not allow any discussion of human biology and anatomical facts because such conversation constitutes “hateful conduct.”
According to The Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing, “What is a Woman?” was supposed to be streamed via Twitter as part of the documentary’s one-year anniversary celebration. Initially, Twitter enthusiastically agreed, even offering The Daily Wire a special package to purchase an entire page where Twitter users could have gone to view it.
After Twitter screened the film, however, everything changed. Suddenly, it was no longer acceptable to screen “What is a Woman?” because some of Twitter’s employees found it offensive.
“After reviewing the film … Twitter let us know that not only could we no longer purchase the package they offered, they would no longer provide us any support and would actually limit the reach of the film and label it as ‘hateful conduct’ because of ‘misgendering,'” Boreing said in a Twitter thread about the reversal.
“Specifically: In the film, a father refers to his 14-year-old daughter as ‘her,’ and a store owner uses the ‘wrong’ pronoun in a confrontation with a transgender woman.”

As of now, “What is a Woman?” is the most-watched movie at home, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences from more than 70 countries scored the film with a 97 percent rating, demonstrating its popularity.
One of the goals of the film is to spark a movement aimed at protecting children from LGBT groomers who want to turn them into transgenders via “gender-affirming care,” which destroys their bodies permanently.
After Musk took over Twitter last October, promising to make the social media platform more First Amendment-friendly, it was assumed that this meant allowing open and honest discussions about the transgender fad and its destruction of children. That assumption turned out to be wrong.
Had Twitter allowed “What is a Woman?” to be streamed as originally planned post-Musk takeover, people everywhere would have been able to watch it for free. Now, nobody will be able to watch the film on Twitter at all.
“We reminded Twitter they removed ‘misgendering’ from their policy, that the term ‘misgendering’ itself is misleading, and that enforcing such a policy places them on the side of the most radical elements in society – the side most opposed to their commitment to free speech,” Boreing further tweeted.
“Twitter clarified they only removed ‘misgendering’ from their policy because they didn’t need to be that specific, but that they still consider ‘misgendering’ abuse and harassment. They gave us the opportunity to edit the film to comply. We declined.”
Boreing says The Daily Wire inquired of Twitter how much it plans to limit the visibility of “What is a Woman?” should it be posted anyway. He was told that even The Daily Wire‘s own followers would not be able to see it in their feeds, emphasizing that this is part of Musk’s new “speech, not reach” policy.
Former NBC Universal executive and World Economic Forum (WEF) official Linda Yaccarino likely played a big role in the about-face decision to ax “What is a Woman?” from the original streaming plan.
“… if Twitter is going to throttle one side of one of the most important debates facing society, it cannot claim to champion free speech,” Boreing further commented. “I hope [Musk] will reconsider this terrible policy.”
