In a show of force eerily similar to what happened in 1930s Germany, police forces across Berlin this past week searched the properties of residents who support Hamas.
The law enforcement sweep came just days after Germany issued a formal ban on residents of Germany supporting or in any way being involved with Hamas following the attack in Israel that occurred on October 7.
The German government specifically went after and disbanded a group called Samidoun that held a celebration in Berlin of the Hamas attack.
According to Germany’s domestic intelligence service, there are currently around 450 Hamas members living in Germany. Their involvement ranges anywhere from mere expressions of sympathy to engagement in “propaganda” activities to financing and fundraising for the purpose of strengthening Hamas around the world.
“We are continuing our consistent action against radical Islamists,” announced German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser. “By banning Hamas and Samidoun in Germany, we have sent a clear signal that we will not tolerate any glorification or support of Hamas’ barbaric terror against Israel.”

The raids were meant to be a show of force and a warning to any other Hamas members of supporters living in Germany to stop whatever they are doing immediately unless they want to be paid a visit by the cops.
In total, 16 properties across Berlin were searched by a total of 500 German police officers. Other areas that were searched include Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein.
In Berlin alone, it took 300 police officers to carry out searches at 11 locations, from which were seized assets and evidence. Seven of these searches were related to Hamas while the remaining four involved Samidoun.
German media reported that most of the searches occurred at the homes of Hamas supporters, as well as on the premises of a Palestinian association.
It does not stop there, though. Germany is also cracking down on the spread of “antisemitism,” with the homes of 17 German people in the southern state of Bavaria having been raided by police for “antisemitic hate speech and threats targeting Jews online,” to quote The Associated Press (AP).
On November 16 alone, German police raided 54 different locations across the entire country as part of an investigation into a Hamburg-based organization suspected of promoting the leadership ideology of Iran, and possibly supporting Hezbollah activities in Germany.
“We are keeping a close eye on the Islamist scene,” Faeser said. “Islamists and antisemites cannot and must not feel safe anywhere here.”
Faeser would add that the German government’s fears include worries that supporters of Hamas, Hezbollah and other Islamist factions could influence political and social discourse across Germany.
In response to Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, Hamas has vowed to annihilate Israel, while Israel is saying the same thing about wiping out Hamas. Back in 1997, the U.S. State Department designated Hamas as a terrorist group, which is also how the European Union (EU) and other Western countries see it.
“The Gaza strip was won by Israel in the Six-Day War and then ceded to the Palestinians in keeping with the Oslo Accord in the ‘Land for Peace’ delusions under the Clinton regime around 1993,” one of our own readers commented, citing his opinion that the land known as Israel and everything taking place there, as horrific as it is, still fits within Biblical prophecy.
“Israel will do many things to gain the world’s animosity but they will remain put nevertheless. The Lord God Almighty will see to it.”
